Portrait of Henry Keefer Project

To help commemorate The City of Hillsdale's 150th Birthday, The Heritage Association commissioned John Castellese, a local artist, to paint a 30" x 40" portrait of the first hotelier of the Keefer House, Henry Keefer. On October 11, 2019, an all-day birthday celebration was held at Hillsdale City Hall. During the celebration, the portrait was gifted to Keefer, LLC for renovating the Keefer Hotel. The portrait will be displayed at various local businesses while the renovation takes place but will reside at the hotel when the renovation is completed.
